Watson and Cox

A Decade of Productive Collaboration. Watson & Cox first contacted WPSCC in 2009 requesting assistance with their Site Waste Management Plans (SWMPs).

Project Information

Watson & Cox first contacted WPSCC in 2009 requesting assistance with their Site Waste Management Plans (SWMPs). At that point they were running an average of five projects at any one time. WPSCC began by updating and organising the Duty of Care records and information and then set up SWMPs for the ‘live’ projects. To support the process of managing the SWMPs, WPSCC also carried out training for all relevant personnel, in particular, the Site Managers. With the launch of WastePlan, WPSCC’s SWMP software tool, in 2012, the client started to take on more of the workload themselves and, believe it or not, this is still the method of operation, with WPSCC conducting periodic site inspections and completing the reviews to ensure that the SWMPs are produced to a high standard.

Our Story

Watson & Cox first retained WPSCC more than a decade ago. The first order of the day was to sort out their Duty of Care record-keeping and the accuracy of the information. We then fully managed their SWMPs for the next few years, until WastePlan, our specialist SWMP software, was launched. When we introduced it to them they immediately realised that this gave them a mechanism whereby they were able to take on some of the workload.  This meant they could use WPSCC in more of an ‘auditing’ role, ensuring data was accurate and implementation on site was successful. This role is still the basis of our working relationship today, in addition to ad hoc provision of training to ensure that personnel are kept up to date with best practice.

It is still a great pleasure to work with Watson & Cox because they take massive pride in minimising waste produced and maximising personnel education.

Conclusion

Ever-evolving working relationships are a strong element to WPSCC’s success over the years.
