Fire Prevention Plans are now an essential part of an Environmental Permit Application, due to the spate of fires at Waste disposal sites over the last few years.
A Fire Prevention Plan details:
- The measures that will be implemented to minimise the risk of a fire occurring on site
- How any used water from fighting a site fire will be disposed of
It is important to show that should there be a fire there will be no environmental harm caused by the ‘run off’ water, as well as demonstrating that robust fire fighting procedures and methods are implemented.
Also, quite often, a specific Site Plan has to be included, documenting where items relevant to fire are located, for instance where alarms and extinguishers can be found.
At WPSCC we can help you to set out your Fire Prevention Plan, outlining your fire procedures and safety plan and ensuring you have the correct equipment to comply with fire safety legislation and regulations. Call us on 01604 859961 or use the Get in Touch button to find out more.
