Apprenticeships In Construction Industry

As a recognised Apprenticeship Training Agency (ATA), working with organisations and companies including the Royal Borough of Greenwich, the London Borough of Enfield, Barratt Homes and Wilmott Dixon; there are currently in excess of 100 MiddletonMurray Apprentices on construction sites today in a number of trades and roles. A key part of our services at MiddletonMurray is the delivery of a high quality Apprenticeship programme with employers who wish to utilise the benefits of an ATA to source, arrange and host their apprenticeships.

One such employer with whom we enjoy a thriving relationship is Berkeley Homes East Thames.

Berkeley Homes East Thames build homes and neighbourhoods within the Royal Borough of Greenwich and have developed two of the largest regeneration projects in the UK – Kidbrooke Village and Royal Arsenal Riverside – each providing 20 further years of place-making and employing in excess of 2000 workers. Berkeley, with the assistance of trusted contractors, are renowned for creating top quality homes and sustainable places where people aspire to live and the company offers Apprentice placements within the workforces on their sites, giving young local people the opportunity to contribute to the long term regeneration of the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

Since summer 2015 we have been working in partnership with Berkeley at their Kidbrooke Village site, operating their Apprenticeship programme and building excellent relationships with their management and sub-contractors and the new phase of our partnership launches in January.

Speaking about the ATA programme with Berkeley, Angela Middleton, MiddletonMurray’s CEO said Kidbrooke Village is one of Berkeley’s biggest regeneration projects to date and is one of the largest residential developments in London and we enjoy a great working relationship with Jenni Butterfield and Alice Hunt, Berkeley’s work-place coordinators”.

Angela continued; ”to be able to play our part in providing local young people, via our ATA, the opportunity to undertake an apprenticeship at such a fantastic company as Berkeley Homes and at such an iconic location is extremely rewarding for us and it highlights perfectly how much success our ATA service is enjoying in providing the London construction sector and its sub-contractors with quality apprentices.”
